EOSC EDEN and FIDELIS aim at ensuring that FAIR research outputs are preserved over the long-term in the context of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and will benefit future generations.
The projects develop digital preservation and FAIR-enabling frameworks and services to enhance digital preservation strategies at European and national level and unite FAIR-enabling Trustworthy Digital Repositories (TDR) in one European Network that will advocate for its member repositories in the years to come.
The EOSC EDEN project seeks to understand the current digital preservation landscape, identify common standards and practices, and provide new solutions and approaches that help institutions select and preserve high-quality FAIR research outputs. The project will contribute to the establishment of a European distributed infrastructure for digital preservation, curation, and access in Europe and enrich EOSC with tools to integrate trustworthy repositories and services into the EOSC Federation.
The FIDELIS project will establish and consolidate a European network of FAIR-enabling trustworthy digital repositories that will live on after the project finishes and represent its member repositories to key stakeholders on important matters. The project will foster harmonisation and interoperability across trustworthy digital repositories to support their EOSC federation and upskill repositories through an active training and support programme.
