The No Time to Wait Conference 2026 will bring together archivists, preservation specialists, software developers, and media professionals to discuss the latest developments in digital audiovisual preservation, open media, and open standards. Taking place in Warsaw, Poland, from 14–16 October 2026, the conference serves as a key international forum for sharing tools, workflows, and collaborative approaches to preserving audiovisual heritage. The event will be held by blending in-person engagement in Warsaw with online participation, including livestreamed sessions on YouTube and opportunities for remote attendees.
Bertrand Caron, Merle Friedrich (TIB): TIB's AV holdings as a use case for EOSC EDEN Core Preservation Processes.
The Core Preservation Processes (CPPs) are defined as “specific actions that every Trustworthy Digital Archive should undertake adequately” by the EOSC EDEN Project. The presentation will investigate how TIB is implementing CPPs in regards to its AV holdings. It will thus demonstrate how this approach can help in evaluating how comprehensive implemented processes are and in identifying potential gaps or deviations from recognized good preservation practice.
Thursday, October 15: Digital Preservation Awards Ceremony
Earlier this summer, EOSC EDEN proudly announced that its Core Preservation Processes (CPPs) had been shortlisted as a finalist for the prestigious National Library Board Singapore Award for Research and Innovation at the Digital Preservation Awards 2026. This recognition is a major achievement for the project and reflects the importance of the CPPs in advancing trustworthy, interoperable, and sustainable approaches to digital curation and long-term preservation across the research landscape.
The winners of the Digital Preservation Awards 2026 will be revealed on 15 October 2026 at the Digital Preservation Awards Ceremony, held during the No Time to Wait conference. EOSC EDEN is honoured to be recognised among this year's finalists and looks forward to joining the global digital preservation community in Warsaw for this landmark event.
