EOSC EDEN is proud to announce that the Core Preservation Processes (CPPs) identified and developed through the project have been selected as a finalist for the National Library Board Singapore Award for Research and Innovation at the Digital Preservation Awards 2026.
Since 2004, the Digital Preservation Awards organized by the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC), have been the leading international celebration of achievement in digital preservation. The Awards honour individuals, projects, and organizations that have made exceptional contributions to preserving our digital legacy.
The Core Preservation Processes (CPPs) are a set of 30 processes that every digital archive should undertake in order to fulfill its preservation mission. The CPPs aim to provide practical implementation guidance for digital preservation processes and workflows. They close the gap between high level reference models and dispersed implementation descriptions for digital preservation workflows.
The selection of the Core Preservation Processes as a finalist highlights the importance of practical approaches to digital preservation and acknowledges their growing impact in supporting archives worldwide.
