First open call for the support for the adoption of solutions launches on 30th of April!
As part of the FIDELIS training and support activities, we will be launching the first open call aimed to support repositories in adopting solutions that will improve their trustworthiness. This mix of financial support and expert guidance will introduce best practices, tools, services, and other solutions and show how repositories can get to work to implement these for their own organisation.
Join us on 29 April from 13:30-14:30 CEST for an overview of a dedicated support offer that you or your organisation can apply to join as a participant. Through the support offer and structured peer exchange, participants will implement concrete solutions within their own organisations, guided and supported by leading experts in the field.
This webinar introduces the first of two open calls under the FIDELIS Adoption of Solutions scheme, which will run during the second half of 2026. In this open call, support will be provided on : organisational and operational aspects of repository management, data anonymisation, improving repository visibility and transparency, and core preservation processes that repositories need to have well defined and effectively managed.
Planned support offers include :
- Support Offer #1 : Exposing your repository in the EDEN registry for long-term preservation services
- Support Offer #2: Tools for privacy preserving data release and trustworthy publication (EOSC SIESTA)
- Support Offer #3: EDEN Core preservation processes
- Support Offer #4: Managing repositories - a service perspective
The session will provide more information about the training and support opportunities offered by the FIDELIS project, this specific support offer, the financial support available, and the application process. There will be ample time for questions from participants. The webinar will last no more than one hour.
Across the two open calls, FIDELIS will allocate a total of 500,000 euros in financial support to help repositories adopt and implement tested best-practice solutions, such as services, tools, methodologies, or policies developed by existing repositories or related projects. These solutions are intended to support repositories on their path towards becoming Trustworthy Digital Repositories. Each support offer will focus on specific thematic areas related to trustworthiness.
Successful applicants will receive a standard day rate of 500 EUR per day to support the work required to adopt a selected solution within their repository and to actively participate in the support offer. Each offer will require an estimated 10-20 days of effort, resulting in a total payment of 5000-10000 euro, paid upon successful completion of the support activities.
