User perspectives on long-term data preservation: Reducing pain points for researchers, repositories and archives

27 January 2026 15:00–16:00

User perspectives meeting long-term preservation - Join the 2nd EOSC EDEN Seminar

The EOSC EDEN project, an EU-funded initiative, is continuing its webinar series to share key results and insights from its work on advancing digital preservation strategies across Europe. At the heart of EOSC EDEN lies the ambition to develop a comprehensive framework for identifying research data that should be prioritised for long-term digital preservation at both European and national levels.

In this second seminar, we present results from our ongoing work on the identification of requirements and needs for long-term data presentation within and across scientific disciplines and data types. Exemplifying by using data and user journeys gathered in the first year of the project, we pay particular attention to the strategies and tools employed in this task.

The webinar is tailored for those who wish to enhance their knowledge about user needs and pain points, from a discipline-specific point of view. It is further tailored to enable those who wish to improve their repository practice, to reuse, build on and/or offer feedback on our work.

If you are interested in discipline-specific user perspectives and want to learn more about EOSC EDEN’s latest work, we warmly invite you to join us:
