Provide feedback at the end of the pilot support to help shape the next open calls.

Q7. How will applications be evaluated?

The pilot round of the Support for the Adoption of Solutions will work on a  first-come-first-served basis, meaning that any completed registration will result in an offer to participate until the maximum number of participants has been reached. Please consider carefully the descriptions of the support offers and self-evaluate whether you meet the expected criteria and learning purposes.

Q8. How many applicants will be supported?

Each support offer details the maximum number of participants supported in their description.

Q9. Can I retract my registration if I change my mind about participation?

If you have registered for one or more support offers but would like to retract this registration, please contact: training-fidelis@postit.csc.fi

Please do reach out to retract if you are unable to participate after all, as this will allow other repositories to join the support offer instead.

Q10. If registration has filled up, can I be put on a waiting list?

Yes, after the support offer has reached the maximum registrations, the waiting list will open. Should any other registration be retracted, then the first registrant on the waiting list will be contacted.

Q11. What is an Implementation Story?

An Implementation Story is a public document that describes the experiences and lessons learned during the training and support. All participants to the support offers will contribute to the production of it. The main purpose is to provide others with useful information, tips, and advice to improve their trustworthy attributes.

Templates will be provided to ensure consistency in the presentation of the stories. One Implementation Story will be created for each support offer, with all participants included as co-authors. These will be made available via the FIDELIS website and Zenodo community.

Implementation Stories were originally developed as part of the FAIRsFAIR project. They illustrate good practices in research communities and organisations to support the implementation of the FAIR principles. Links to the FAIRsFAIR Implementation Stories can be found on the FAIRsFAIR website. This practice continued in the FAIR-IMPACT project, where FAIR Implementation Stories were created by training participants and publicly shared.

Q12. Is participation in the pilot training mandatory for provisional members of the FIDELIS Network?

No, participation in the pilot round of the Support for the Adoption of Solution is not mandatory for provisional members of the FIDELIS Network. This additional round of support and the opportunity to provide input into the development of the future open calls is an optional benefit for provisional members to enjoy.

Q13. Can I / my organisation register for multiple support offers at the same time?

For the pilot round of the Support for the Adoption of Solutions we will allow multiple registrations by the same organisation. Do be mindful that participation in each support offer is associated with certain prerequisites and expectations. Registration to multiple support offers must result in active participation in all workshops and independent work. You can register different persons/teams for different support offers.

FIDELIS reserves the right to change this approach if capacity issues are encountered.

Q14. Where can I get more information on the FIDELIS open calls for training and support?

Q15. Can I suggest a topic or solution for a training or support activity?
